what a very lovely stay, no complaints. a fabulous hotel with variety of air-conditioned and immaculately clean rooms to relax in. affable staff and management. magnificent and stunning location right by the gondola and the locanda milano in a busy area. also, easy to get to como-brunate funicular.

i asked for double room with private bathroom, a balcony, for example and they kindly provided it. the stuff where super and amazing and the location was marvellous. besides, funicolare como was 3 km away from the venue.

Very welcoming environment. Everyone did all that they could to make us feel at home. Great location, just at the top of the funicular. Convenient to get to bars and cafes, or just stay in the hotel for super food and wine. Brunate is an authentic Italian village, with a very different feel from Como, even though it is only 10 minutes away.

Quaint family-run atmosphere with delicious homemade pastries.

We encountered significant communication issues with the staff. They seemed uninterested in assisting us with our inquiries about repeated flight cancellations. Unfortunately, their lack of responsiveness left us feeling quite frustrated and unsupported .

Nice staff although English is not their strong side. Very good restaurant for dinner, good breakfast. Room was simple and clean, a bit too exposed to back street. Location is excelent provided that the furnicula to Como works, which was unfortunately not the case during our stay.

Quaint charm with beautiful views

Locanda Milano 1873 has a quaint family-run charm with fine panoramic views. The close proximity to the funicular makes it easy to explore Lake Como, and the friendly staff always went the extra mile.

The room we stayed in was quite dated and didn't meet expectations for comfort, especially with the lack of air conditioning. The breakfast was disappointing and limited, which could have been better given the reputation.

Clean neat rooms and friendly staff and locals. Stop searching and just stay here if going to Como!

Furnicular isn't working until august 2011 - however buses are available to get to town. Hotel is perfect.
